RNA Modification & Histone Modification

Previous studies have shown that the m6A modification occurs during transcription, while histone modification is widely distributed in various functional regulatory elements of the genome. It is a novel idea to study the the potential associations between histone modifications and RNA modifications from the perspective of whole genome and transcriptome.

We collected ChIP-seq datasets of 14 histone modifications in 12 cells from ENCODE and explore the association between them with six RNA modifications stroed in RMBase v3.0.

  • 14 histone modifications: H2AFZ, H3F3A, H3K27ac, H3K27me3, H3K36me3, H3K4me1, H3K4me2, H3K4me3, H3K79me3, H3K9ac, H3K9me1, H3K9me2, H3K9me3 and H4K20me1.
  • 12 cell lines: A549, GM12878, GM23248, GM23338, H1, H9, HCT116, HeLa, HepG2, K562, MCF-7 and SK-N-SH.
  • 6 RNA modifications: m1A, m5C, m6A, m7G, Nm and Pseudo.
